The Brothers of New York...

Karai's last words before she died was to refer to some brothers who lived in New York. Karai spoke of the brothers with respect and in a way that has led our heroes to believe that these brothers must be ninjas or at least fellow warriors. But what is in New York? Who are these brothers? What was Karai fleeing from?

 

Zombies!

The dead no longer stay dead! 

Zombies roam the streets. Our heroes have watched and seen the classic shambling zombies that stumble after the living and feed upon their flesh, but only if the person is injured or slow or unaware. 

Our heroes have seen quicker zombies on occasion though, they seem more rare, but more active more feral zombies do lurk in the shadows and they will pounce upon the unwary. What is causing the dead to rise? What can be done?

The Wave!

Something is attacking the minds of the populace!

It is unseen, but the keen minds of our Heroes can feel the invasive reach of a mental wave that washes over Freaktown on an intermittent, but increasing, basis. Like a splinter in the brain, like a tsunami of mental force crashing against the thinking consciousness, the wave is a force of nature that seeks to wash away the conscious thought of all it encounters. But what is it? And where does it come from?

Wave Immunity?

In the most recent wave Bruce Rocket was unaffected. Why was this the case? What does it mean?

Karai's Secret Cache...

You found a pair of keys in Karai's room. Both are old asian style cast metal keys, one is unmarked and one has a kanji symbol on it.In the floorboards Tucker stumbled across a locked box that one of the Keys opens containing a string of Matagama beads under a floor board in her bedroom. The other key has kanji 神 on it that the heroes recognise a the symbol for Kami. but little else.

You also find a small address book with names, phone numbers and street addresses for places all over North America. One of the addresses is in Vancouver: Sessai Choro.

Kidnapped Humans!

Mutant Hunters have been killing mutants and kidnapping their children for years. Nobody knows why, but recently several humans have been kidnapped which has never happened before. Why is this happening now? What does it mean?

You have been asked by Sessai Choro to rescue his Daughter-in-law and Grandson: Bethany Choro and  William Choro. He does not have high hopes for them being alive.
